The Premise: A Life on Repeat
Mickey 17 tells the story of Mickey Barnes, played by Robert Pattinson, an ordinary man who failed to find success on Earth. With few options left, he enlists in an interstellar colonization program, taking on the role of an “Expendable.” This means he is sent on the most dangerous, life-threatening missions—ones in which death is almost guaranteed. But in this dystopian system, death is not the end. Each time Mickey dies, he is resurrected in a new cloned body, his memories and experiences uploaded and restored.
